Pool Wall Sculpture

The brief here was for a wall hung sculpture for an indoor swimming pool. And the client loved colour so we wanted to satisfy that preference.

The final piece is an interesting play between the two fixed painted colours chosen by the client – orange and dark blue – and between the reflections in the central mirror and the reflections in the mirror-polished stainless steel parts of the wall sculpture. The reflections also bring movement to the artwork.

The stainless steel is 316 marine grade to withstand the potentially harmful humidity and chlorine/bromine. Halo back lighting creates dramatic effects and interesting shadows for night time swims, especially when the rest of the room is in darkness.
