Copper Sculpture
Soft, malleable and forgiving, copper can be worked into intriguing shapes such as Bite, our copper outdoor sphere. Rich in color, copper effortlessly blends into outdoor spaces and ages with the elements, becoming more textural as natural patination begins to bloom.

Copper sculpture questions
When it comes to functionality, copper is a great material for outdoor art sculpture. The deep, rich colors of the metal before and after it is aged is striking and will blend seamlessly in a flower garden or larger landscape, becoming an eye-catching piece of garden art. Plus, a solid copper sculpture will enhance your yard for decades as the copper naturally forms a protective skin or patina to help it weather well. Copper is also a stunning material for wall art and indoor sculpture, such as Mirage.
Copper is a traditional material which has been handcrafted for years to make metal art, statues, outdoor ornaments and sundials. This is partly because the copper effect is particularly striking but also because of the durability of the metal itself. As copper ages and is exposed to the elements, an oxidizing process takes place. It is a protective skin that helps copper to weather well and, with a little help from us, this process creates striking patination that complements the craftsmanship. Our outdoor sculpture Bite and Bite II are beautiful examples of this.
All David Harber installations are made to order and built to stand the test of time all year round, whether indoors or out. We provide a detailed Maintenance Manual to ensure your piece continues to enchant and delight for decades to come. To clean your copper sculpture, we recommend giving the piece a quick rinse with a watering can or hose before using warm clean water and a soft cloth to remove any dirt. Stay away from cleaning fluids or abrasive cloths as this will scratch the surface.
